Since 1986, the Leadership Tyler Core Program has graduated over 1,100 emerging and established leaders committed to a life of community service. Leadership Tyler is an incredibly powerful program that helps participants develop skills critical for success in today’s professional environment, while equipping them to serve as pivotal leaders in our community. Leadership Tyler is a networking opportunity unlike any other. While learning together about our unique city and surrounding area, participants will forge lasting relationships with individuals from many of Tyler’s most prominent organizations. Leadership Tyler’s lasting legacy is its graduates – our alumni serve as policy-level community trustees, as elected and appointed officials, and as leaders in the private, public, and non-profit sectors of the Smith County area. Applications for the core program open April first and are due on May 29th. The cost to participate in the Core Program is $2,750.
Information Sessions for the Core Program Class 40 Selections process will be announced soon. Information Sessions are scheduled as follows:
Monday, March 2nd at 12pm
Wednesday, March 4th a 5pm
Thursday, March 5th at 12pm
Wednesday, March 25th at 8am
All Information Sessions will be held in the Genecov Room at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce building (315 N. Broadway). Please email info@leadershiptyler.org to register.
Selections begin April 1, 2026 for Core Program Class 40. If you are interested in applying, please note the following dates for the program. Applicants are allowed to miss up to eight hours of program time only. Attendance at the Opening and Closing retreats is mandatory. These dates will be on the application as well.
